The Raps used their 5th overall pick in this year's draft on Lithuanian centre Jonas Valanciunas. In a draft that is being dubbed as the "International Draft", 4 international players have been taken in the top 7; Kanter, Valanciunas, Vesely and Biyombo.
Bargnani, Calderon, Kleiza, Barbosa, Garbajosa, Ukic, Delfino, Nesterovic, Turkoglu... It's no surprise that the Raps went the international route. Let's just hope Brandon Knight and Kemba Walker are NBA flops or else Colangelo and his international lover Maurizio Gherardini might be looking for work in the Euro League.
Props to Toronto native Tristan Thompson going number 4 overall! Wish that Cleveland took this Lithuanian giant instead so Thompson could be in a Raps jersey...
